Hours:

Office Staff: Mon. – Friday 8am-4pm
Groups are held daily Saturday through Thursday

Program Goals:

To provide adjudicated DUI first offenders the educational opportunity gained from knowledge related to alcohol abuse and its effects on driving.

Requirements:

• 38 Hours of programming completed with High Point
• 90 Minute Intake Assessment
• 16 two hour long Psychoeducational Groups held once weekly
• Victim Impact Forum
• Individual Discharge Session (30 Minute Exit Interview)
• In addition to above programming two self-help groups are required.

Specialty Groups available:

• Saturday Groups
• Spanish Speaking Facilitators
• Portuguese Speaking Facilitators

Clients are responsible for financial obligation of the MID, insurance does not cover the cost of MID

High Point is licensed for MID through the Bureau of Substance Addiction Services

Court Ordered Evaluation/Registry of Motor Vehicle Risk of Recidivism Evaluation

Program Information:

Licensed Clinicians can complete comprehensive evaluations for the following:

• 24Q
• Substance Abuse Evaluation
• Mental Health Evaluation
• RMV Risk of Recidivism Evaluation

*Please note these evaluations are completed in multiple sessions

IPAEP: Intimate Partner Abuse Education Program

Groups are held nightly; Sunday – Thursday and Saturday Morning

Program Goals:

• Seek to enhance the safety of survivors and their children by holding their partners accountable for their abusive and violent behaviors
• 80 hours of psychoeducational programing; groups held once weekly for two hours throughout 40 weeks.
• Program is broken down into 2 Phases, phase one is an 8 week orientation phase, phase two is 32 weeks long
• Specialty Groups available:
• Saturday Groups
• Spanish Speaking Facilitators
• Groups after 5 PM offered Sunday through Thursday
• Group for Female Offenders

Case Management Services available within the program for coordination of care

Specialized curriculums examine all forms of abusive behavior and the cultural/social influences that contribute to violence.

High Point is certified to facilitate IPAEP services through Department of Public Health

Per Mass.gov: Initially written in 1991 in response to amendments to M.G.L. c.209A, the “Abuse Prevention Act,” the Massachusetts Guidelines and Standards for the Certification of Batterer Intervention Programs (Guidelines) were revised in 1995 and then again in 2015. The statute vests DPH with the responsibility to certify and monitor programs for compliance with these guidelines and standards.
