Healthy Families

Healthy Families Massachusetts (HFM) is a statewide, voluntary, home-based family support and coaching program funded by the Children’s Trust and implemented locally by SEMCOA, serving first-time parents in the Greater Brockton and Greater Attleboro-Taunton communities.

Program services include:

• Support for first-time parents of all ages, beginning during pregnancy and continuing until the child’s third birthday.
• Individualized home visits that help families create a safe, stable, and nurturing environment for their children.
• Education on infant care, child development, positive parenting practices, and nurturing parent-child attachment.
• Coaching to build parenting confidence and strengthen family relationships.
• Assistance with setting and achieving personal goals related to education, employment, and family health and wellness.
• Parent groups and family activities that promote social connection, peer support, and community engagement.
• Referrals to community resources and services to address each family’s unique needs.
• Ongoing support that empowers families to build a strong foundation for their child’s lifelong health, learning, and success.

Admissions Policy:

Greater Brockton: Must be first-time parents that are pregnant or parenting their first child under a year old and residing in Brockton, Abington, Avon, Bridgewater, E. Bridgewater, W. Bridgewater, Easton, Holbrook, Duxbury, Halifax, Hanson, Kingston, Pembroke, Plympton, Rockland, Stoughton, and Whitman.

Greater Attleboro-Taunton: Must be first-time parents that are pregnant or parenting their first child under a year old and residing in Taunton, Attleboro, N. Attleboro, Norton, Mansfield, Seekonk, Berkley, Dighton, Rehoboth, Raynham, Lakeville, Middleboro, Plymouth and Carver.
